The UC Master Gardeners of Amador County will offer “Vermicomposting: Building Your Own Worm Bin” on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Jackson.
Participants will learn how to compost with worms, including which worms to use, how to feed and care for them, how to set up and maintain a worm bin, and how to harvest and use worm castings. The class will also cover ways to build an inexpensive composting bin at home.
A hands-on option is available for those who would like to build their own worm bin during the class. Advance registration is required for this option, and the necessary bin, worms, and materials will be provided. Walk-ins are welcome for the general class.
The workshop takes place from 9 AM to noon at the GSA Building, 12200-B Airport Road in Jackson.
